December 7th – a day of remembrance for all Americans. Please take a moment to think about the events that took place that day and thank all Veterans – retired, active duty and those that have gone before – and go forward with a grateful heart.
Trying to sum up 2020 – unpredictable, volatile, amazing, fast, unprecedented, – all of the above and more. My heart goes out to those afflicted by COVID-19, those whose lives have been changed, and those who lost loved ones…. And on the flip side I’ve found patience, have had the opportunity to really see and appreciate my surrounds and set some new goals.
Each morning an assessment is made – pulse-yes! all the extremities work-yes! Are we all healthy-yes! Then let’s get with it and make something of today. Appreciate each day for what it is and not worry about what it should have been. If it’s not enough then make plans and take action to make it what I want it to be,,, Enough of waiting for tomorrow to do something – make that phone call, write that letter, start that new quilt, make those dreams a reality but don’t wait for things to be perfect to do it. Use the fancy dishes, have tea in a different cup every day, and make memories because in the end that’s all we really have.
